Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the death of an elderly man. The man’s body was discovered Thursday, March 2, 2017, at approximately 12:49 p.m., near Mile Marker 18.87 Angeles Forest Highway, Angeles National Forest.  

Detectives have learned that the man’s body was discovered approximately 30 feet off the road by a passerby.

The cause of death and identity of the deceased will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

There is no further information at this time.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to Mile Marker 18.87 Angeles Forest Highway, Angeles National Forest, to conduct a death investigation. The male adult was discovered on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.                                          
There is no additional information available at this time.
