The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

March 1st

0739 Hours: Officer Ackerman contacted and arrested a 28 year old Newark male for his outstanding warrant. The suspect was issued a citation and released.

1209 Hours: Officer Ackerman investigated a stolen white 2002 Ford Econoline E150 Van, (California license #6Z68614) on the 37000 block of Cherry Street.

1732 Hours: Officer Horst investigated a residential burglary on the 6200 block of Joaquin Murieta Drive. The loss is Gold and Silver.

1807 Hours: Officer Mapes responded to a disturbance at In-N-Out Liquors, 5401 Cedar Boulevard. Officer Mapes contacted and arrested two male suspects, a 22 year old and a 28 year old, both from Fremont, for public intoxication. Both suspects were booked into the Fremont Jail.

2038 Hours: Officer Mapes documented a non-injury traffic collision on Enterprise Avenue.
