Police Blotter February 6th through February 13th

February 6th

Warrant Arrest – San Francisco County Jail:
At 0600 hours, an officer responded and picked up a 18-year-old Richmond woman that had a warrant issued for her arrest. The woman was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Stolen vehicle – 5900 block of San Mateo St:
At 0745 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2005 Infiniti G35 while it was warming up in the driveway.

Auto burglary – 4010 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1024 hours, an unknown suspect smashed the victim’s vehicle window and stole property from inside. The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 20’s, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Auto burglary – 5800 block of Barrett Ave:
Between 2/5/17 at 1400 hours and 2/6/17 at 1000 hours, an unknown suspect used a tool to unlock the vehicle and stole property from inside.

Auto burglary 11700 block of San Pablo Ave:
Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the window of the victim’s vehicle and rummaged through the interior. There was no loss reported.

Possession of a controlled substance – Key Blvd / Knott Ave:
At 1537 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 41-year-old Richmond man for possession of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Auto burglary – 2000 block of Key Blvd:
Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the window of the victim’s vehicle and stole a Raider’s jacket.

Petty theft from vehicle – 1000 block of King Dr:
Between 2/5/17 at 1400 hours and 2/6/17 at 0630 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole paperwork, an identification card, and a credit card.

Petty theft from vehicle – 2600 block of Tuller Ave:
Between 2/5/17 at 1800 hours and 2/6/17 at 1100 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole miscellaneous property.

Miscellaneous domestic – 700 block of Pomona Ave:
At 2303 hours, officers responded to a verbal argument and child custody issue. Officers determined that no physical altercation occurred and the children were well cared for. One parent opted to leave the residence for the night to prevent an ongoing issue.

Warrant arrest – 9895 San Pablo Ave:
At 0306 hours, and officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 29-year-old San Luis Obispo man for two outstanding warrants. The man was issued a citation in the field and released.

Auto burglary, Possession of stolen property, resisting arrest – 11700 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 0339 hours, officers were dispatched to car alarms activated in the area. Officers arrived and located a 16-year-old Richmond male in the area. Officers attempted to stop the male but he fled on his bicycle. Officers gave chase and quickly apprehended him in the parking lot of Home Depot. Officers located stolen property belonging to one of the victim’s in the male’s possession. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to his mother.

February 7th

Shoplifting – Big 5 Sporting Goods, 11060 San Pablo Ave:
At 2007 hours, an officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 52-year-old Richmond man after he stole clothing and a children’s baseball bat. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Madison Ave:
At 1057 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 57-year-old transient man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant arrest – 1900 block of Key Blvd:
At 1517 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 58-year-old transient man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

February 8th

Auto Burglary – 9800 block San Pablo Ave:
At 0726 hours, an unidentified suspect broke the window of a victims vehicle and stole two laptops.

Residential Burglary – 1700 Block of Elm St:
At 0738 hours, an officer responded to the report of a garage burglary. The victim left the door to his shared garage open. When he returned he discovered his golf clubs and his bike were missing.

Residential Burglary - 500 block of Ashbury St:
At 1504 hours, officers responded to the report of a fight. A parishioner at the church heard noises inside the building. When he went to investigate, he discovered a backpack inside the church kitchen. Seconds later, a subject appeared in the kitchen and began banging on the door demanding the backpack. The subject, smashed the window of the kitchen door and confronted the victim. He punched the victim and wrenched the backpack free. The subject cut his hand in the process. He and 2 others fled the area. A witness called to report the incident. A second parishioner followed them to the corner and attempted to video tape them with is phone, however another juvenile slapped the phone out of his hand. They then fled the area. An officer located one of the juveniles on Clayton Avenue. He was identified and taken into custody. An officer interviewed him, received a full confession. Both other juveniles involved were identified. The juvenile was released to his mother.

Petty Theft – 6009 Potrero Ave:
At 2020 hours, an officer reports that two suspects entered the business and were standing in the lobby waiting for the clerk. When they saw the clerk was not behind the booth, they entered the cashier’s booth and stole cash from the till. The suspects fled on foot, southbound from the business.

Brandishing a weapon and mental health evaluation – 1100 block of Navellier St:
At 2110 an officer reports the arrest of a juvenile after he threatened his parents with a large hunting knife in response to them taking his cell phone away. Based on the juveniles statements and his actions he was transported to Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center for mental evaluation.

Theft from person – 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 2330 an officer reports that the male was pretending to try to hug the victim and the victim pushed him away. When the victim turned away, the male placed his hand in the victim’s pocket and cash.

Verbal Domestic dispute – 3300 block of Santa Clara Ave:
At 0045 hours, officers were dispatched to the area after a neighbor across the street heard a loud verbal argument and saw a female on the ground. Officers arrived and found that both parties had left the residence. Officers later located the male and female. Neither party had visible injuries and both stated the argument was verbal only. The parties were separated and released.

Warrant Arrest – 3400 block of Belmont Ave:
At 0101 hours an officer conducted a pedestrian stop. The male was found to have an outstanding warrant. The male was transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

February 9th

Stolen Vehicle – 11300 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 1510 hours, an officer responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. While parked in the parking lot an adult male stole the victim’s vehicle.

Auto Burglary Jordan Ave. /Tamalpias Ave:
At 1523 hours, an officer responded to a report an auto burglary. An unidentified suspect smashed a vehicle window and stole her purse and other personal items.

February 10th

Auto Burglary- Marshall’s lot, 10759 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1809 hours, an officer reports (S) smashed the rear left window of (V)’s Toyota Prius and stole a laptop, trumpet, and a purse totaling a loss of $1303.00. TOO: 1715-1809 hours.

Auto Burglary- Marshall’s lot, 10759 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1838 hours, an officer reports (S) entered (V)’s Honda Civic via an unlocked front passenger door and opened the trunk. (S) stole (V)’s laptop, house keys, and other electronics totaling a loss of $5,155.00. TOO: 1645-1835 hours.

Strong Arm Robbery- Metro PCS, 11265 San Pablo Avenue, Ste. B:
At 1937 hours, an officer reports (S) entered Metro PCS and began snatching display phones. (V), a store employee, attempted to stop (S) by blocking his path and a struggle ensued. (V) stated (S) punched him in the face once before fleeing south on San Pablo Avenue.

(S)-BMA, 20s, thin build, black hoody, brown shirt, blue jeans, black Nike sneakers.

Warrant Arrest- Central Avenue/San Mateo Street:
At 2008 hours, an officer arrested a 49 year old transient male for 3 outstanding ECPD warrants. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Stolen Vehicle Arrest- San Pablo Avenue/Moeser Lane:
At 2358 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a gold Nissan Maxima (paper plates). The officer checked the VIN and found the vehicle was reported stolen from Richmond PD. A 19 year old Richmond male was arrested. He was transported to county jail.

February 11th

Stolen Vehicle– 5300 block School Street:
An officer reports between 0000 hours and 0900 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle.

Recovered Carjacking Vehicle – 5300 block School Street:
At 1027 hours, an officer located a vehicle that was stolen during a carjacking in Oakland on 1/16/17.

Auto Vandalism- IFO ACE Hardware, 10057 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2122 hours, an officer reports (S) smashed the rear right window of (V)’s Tesla Model S and ransacked the vehicle, but no loss was determined. TOO: 1800-2115 hours.

Auto Burglary- San Pablo Avenue/Central Avenue:
At 2123 hours, an officer reports (S) smashed the front right window of (V)’s Toyota van and stole a backpack containing personal totaling loss of $100.00. TOO: 1840-2122 hours

Auto Burglary- Fairmount Avenue/Carlson Boulevard:
At 2125 hours, an officer reports (S) smashed the rear window of (V)’s Volvo and stole a I-Pad Pro, sunglasses, a purse, and other electronic items totaling a loss of $3835.00. TOO: 1750-2124 hours.

Auto Burglary- IFO 10069 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2214 hours, an officer reports (S) smashed the right rear window of (V)’s Audi and stole misc. electronic items totaling a loss of $70.00. TOO: 1830-2130 hours.

Warrant Arrest- S.56th Street/Carlos Avenue:
At 0354 hours, an officer arrested a 40 year old El Cerrito male for an outstanding Solano County warrant. He was cited and released.

February 12th

Burglary – 1200 block of Liberty Street:
An officer reports between 2/11/17 at 2130 hours and 2/12/17 at 0900 hours, an unknown suspect entered a laundry room of an apartment complex and forced open the coin operated machines and stole the quarters.

Warrant Arrest – Potrero Ave / Lexington Ave:
At 1440 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 46 year old male form Richmond for a warrant. He was booked and transported to MDF.

Burglary – 6500 Manila Ave:
An officer reports between 0000 hours and 1520 hours, an unknown suspect entered a laundry room of an apartment complex and forced open the coin operated machines and stole the quarters.

Auto Vandalism- San Diego Street/San Pablo Avenue:
At 2118 hours, an officer reports (S) smashed the rear right window of (V)’s Chevy Spark and ransacked the vehicle, but no loss was determined. (V) saw a suspicious large male wearing dark clothing looking into a nearby vehicle with a flashlight before finding her vehicle vandalized. (V) stated (S) entered a white sedan and fled southbound. We received a BOLO from Albany PD regarding several auto burglaries in their city. The suspect vehicle was a mid 90s white Ford or Dodge sedan with over sized tires and a partial plate of 7PPI0##. That was also an unknown race male wearing dark clothing. TOO: 1900-2115 hours.

Attempt Robbery- Bart Path/Blake Street:
At 1920 hours, ECPD officers were dispatched to a robbery. (V) was walking on the BART path when S1, S2, and S3 confronted (V). S1 grabbed (V)’s arm and began punching (V) in the face. S3 kicked (V) on the right knee. The suspects demanded (V)s property, but he fought the suspects off and they fled without any property. All three suspects are described as males wearing black masks, approximately 20 years old, wearing dark clothing. No firearms were seen.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery, 10621 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2217 hours, an officer located a 1995 GMC Sonoma pickup truck which was reported stolen out of Oakland PD.

Warrant Arrest, Obstruct, Delay an Officer, Possession of Stolen Property - Bart Path/Hill Street:
At 0016 hours, an officer arrested a 24 year old Oakland woman on an outstanding Oakland PD warrant. During a search of her backpack, the officer located identification cards belonging to (V). (V) was contacted and confirmed her vehicle was broken into in Oakland and that her backpack and identification cards were stolen. She also reported clothing missing and the officer noticed the suspect wearing some of (V)s clothing. She was transported to county jail.

February 13th

Vandalism – 10000 Block of San Pablo Ave:
An officer reports on 2/11/17 between 1845 and 2100 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the left rear wing window of the victim’s vehicle. The interior was not touched and no property was taken.

Warrant Arrest – Dylans Way / Arlington Blvd:
An officer arrested a 47 year old female from Vallejo who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Avenue / Bayview Avenue:
At 1913 hours, an officer arrested a 34 year old Richmond female during a traffic stop for an outstanding Alameda County warrant. She was transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest, Suspicious Circumstance - Elm Street/Gladys Avenue:
At 2141 hours, an officer saw a 40 year old Richmond male carrying his bicycle and a red wagon containing two television sets, a computer monitor, a laptop, and other misc. electronic items. The male stated he got the items from the electronic bin at the EC recycling center, which was closed at the time. The property will need further investigation. He also had an outstanding CCC warrant and was transported to county jail.

Burglary Residential/Garage - 3300 block of Yosemite Avenue:
At 2315 hours, an officer reports (S) entered (V)’s garage through an unlocked door and stole a bicycle totaling a loss of $700.00. TOO: 2310 hours.
