* Tornado Warning for... Southeastern Jefferson County in south central Illinois... Eastern Franklin County in south central Illinois... Western Hamilton County in south central Illinois...

* Until 945 PM CST

* At 858 PM CST, a large and extremely dangerous tornado was located over Christopher, moving east at 45 mph. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW! HAZARD...Damaging tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. This storm has produced significant damage along its path. This is a life threatening situation. IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction is possible.

* Locations impacted include... West Frankfort, Benton, McLeansboro, West City, Thompsonville, Hanaford, Ewing and Macedonia. TORNADO...RADAR INDICATED TORNADO DAMAGE THREAT...CONSIDERABLE HAIL...1.75IN
