Special Olympics
Chief Raymond Hayducka wanted to thank all the officers who participated in the New Jersey Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday. The 13 South Brunswick officers who took part in the events raised over $5,000 dollars for the Special Olympics by jumping into the freezing Atlantic Ocean in Seaside Park. In all 7000 people took an icy dip in the Atlantic Ocean for the 2017 Polar Bear Plunge Saturday, raising more than $1.8 million for the Special Olympics New Jersey.
“The dedication of these officers to give back goes beyond their everyday jobs. Their efforts at raising funds and taking time out of their schedules to help the Special Olympics speaks volumes to the character of our officers. I thank them for all they did to make the event another big success,” said Chief Hayducka.
