Last week, a Nixle was sent informing the community about the deactivation of the Jackson Police Department's current Twitter account scheduled for today, February 27.
However, the Jackson Police Department has resolved the issues associated with its current Twitter account. The Jackson Police Department will not deactivate this current account.
It is the Jackson Police Department's continued desire to engage the community and provide relevant, up to date, and beneficial information.

On Monday February 27th, the Jackson Police Department will open a new Twitter account.
Because of efficiency issues, it is necessary that this transition occurs. It continues to be the Jackson Police Department's desire to engage our community by providing current and updated activity.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause but know it is for the best. We appreciate the communities patience as we make this transition.
