A SWAT Standoff in the 8500 block of Massery Lane in Santee is now over. A man involved in the incident is safely in custody.

If you live in Santee, be aware of increased law enforcement activity in your area.
A SWAT Standoff is underway in the 8500 block of Massery Lane. Deputies were called to the home just after 9:00 a.m. following reports of a disturbance. A man is holed up inside the home possibly armed with a gun. He is the only person inside the house.
Deputies from the Santee Sheriff's Station, Lakeside Sheriff's Substation, Alpine Station, Special Enforcement Detail (SED/SWAT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) are working to resolve the situation in a peaceful manner.
You might hear a Sheriff's Helicopter or ASTREA flying overhead and patrol cars making announcements urging the suspect to surrender peacefully.
If you live in the neighborhood, STAY INSIDE.
