Advisory

Yellow Alert

A significant storm will be arriving on Friday.  We can expect light rain in the morning.  However, the main part of the storm will arrive in the Glendora area around 2-3 pm Friday afternoon.  Rain will be very heavy through midnight.  It will then decrease and be out of the area by noon on Saturday.

The forecast is estimating about 5.75” of total rainfall for the Glendora area.

Based upon this information, the city is raising the alert to Yellow. However, the alert could be raised further at any time so residents are asked to monitor their surroundings and city sites for updates.
The city will be increasing staffing for police, public works, and community services.  We are also coordinating with LA County Fire and LA County Public Works.

During the recent storms, the hills have done very well so we are not expecting significant issues.  However, the amount of rainfall forecast for a short period of time is reason to monitor the situation and be prepared.
