Good Wednesday morning. The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 2/14/17.

-800 blk Chickadee Rd: Medical. Deputies were called to assist at a residence related to a call for medical service. One resident was transported by EMS.

-US 62/82 at FM 41, Ropesville: Roadway Obstruction. A deputy responded to assist with a disabled vehicle blocking the highway in the area. Deputies and THP were on scene and the roadway was cleared.

-500 blk Tarver, Anton: Harassment. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a telephone harassment complaint. Information was taken and a report was completed. The incident is currently under investigation.

-FM 168 at Hwy 114, Smyer: Motorist Assist. A deputy stopped to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle. Along with another citizen, the vehicle was pushed from the roadway. The owner stated they would return to pick up the vehicle.

-2700 blk Belvedere Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a possible assault at a residence. The complainant advised a male subject hit a child. The complainant requested no charges be filed and there were no injuries. The male subject had left the location prior to arrival of deputies.

-700 blk Koala Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. The caller advised the incident was verbal only and no offenses occurred. The other party had left the residence prior to arrival of deputies. The area was searched but he was not located.

-1400 blk Cactus Dr, Levelland: Juvenile Complaint. A deputy responded to a residence related to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile left the residence after a verbal argument with a parent. The juvenile was located and released to another family member. No offenses were reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 2/15/17 at 0800 hours: 57 in Hockley County, 28 out-of-county.
