Each year, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Athletic Association (LASAA) organizes a series of 5K/10K road races they call the LASAA Mug Run Series.  Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category as well as the fastest male and female 5K and 10K runners.  Participants who successfully complete any 3 races in the series will be awarded a uniquely styled glass mug.  Walnut/Diamond Bar Station’s Mug Run will be Saturday, February 18, 2017.  Runners will enjoy a beautiful, scenic, run through the city of Walnut.  The route consists of mostly flat ground with a few hills. 
Although the Mug Runs are affiliated with the Sheriff’s Department, participation is open to everyone.  The entry fee is $30.00 if you register online at www.itsyourrace.com. Race-day registration will be available at all Mug Runs for $40.00.  Registration begins at 6:30 AM, and both the 5K and 10K start promptly at 8:00 AM.
