For everyone in the downtown Nashville area within the last 30 minutes and were wondering what was going on

NCSO and Nashville PD units responded to reports of a subject walking up Washington Street carrying a rifle headed towards the Courthouse. Units responded to the area with quickness and the "suspect"'was located however it was determined that he did not have a weapon. He was carrying an item in his hand that may have been mistaken for a weapon. There is no further cause for alarm as the situation has been cleared. Thank you for all those who were caught up in the traffic.
