HCSO Deputies Quick Actions Lead to Arrest Of Organized Theft Ring.

(Harris County, TX) On Wednesday February 8, 2017, Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 1 patrol deputy J. Simon 41P12 was in the adjoining parking lot of the AT & T store located at 18568 Kuykendahl road in north Harris County.

Deputy Simon observed an organized theft ring consisting of 7 males and females enter the store. They pushed the manager out of the way, and began loading phones and other electronics.

The suspects fled the scene with one being apprehended on scene by Deputy Simon as he called for additional units to respond to the scene.

The other suspects fled west across Kuykendahl towards a wooded area.

HCSO K9 deputy C. Marshall 40K32 and his canine partner “Bady “assisted in the search area and located two suspects hiding in a brushy area.

Deputies located the remaining suspects behind a warehouse tract in a field west of the business in the 18600 block of Tomato Street.
Where they recovered the phones and currency.

Burglary and Theft Sergeant T.Bohannon was contacted and sent an investigator to the scene.

Deputies recovered 12 cellular phones and electronics with an approximate value of $12,000.00 dollars.

Investigators have charged four individuals with engaging in criminal activity a third degree felony.

Charges are pending on other suspects at this time.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 1 deputies did an excellent job resulting in the apprehension of a Commercial Theft Team.
