8:30AM UPDATE - SNOW TOTALS REDUCED - Majority of snowfall to end by 11AM.

WEATHER REPORT 

All areas are over to snow and the initial period of heavy sleet/rain means there can be a layer of ice/crust underneath any snow cover. Snow rates are peaking at an inch per hour and with not too much of the heavy portion of the storm left, have lowered final totals to 5-9". The bulk of the steady snow looks to wrap up 11 AM or noon, then lighter areas of snow end early-mid afternoon. Winds are gusty (15-30 MPH), so watch for blowing and drifting. This will continue into the evening.

 TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

Travel should be limited for the next several hours to allow plow crews to operate. All roads are snow covered with steady snow falling.

Eight crashes have been reported this morning during the storm. None with any serious injuries.
