THIS IS A SPECIAL EMERGENCY MESSAGE FROM THE TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

A SNOW STORM EMERGENCY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK. ALL PARKED VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM SADDLE BROOK ROADWAYS FOR PLOWING. POLICE WILL BE ISSUING TICKETS.

The SNOW STORM of THURSDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2017 is expected to produce snow accumulation of 8-12 inches. Winds are 10-15 MPH with gusts up to 25 MPH. This will cause blowing and drifting snow. Driving in these conditions is hazardous and should be avoided if non-essential.

Saddle Brook Township ordinance prohibits the parking of any vehicles on all streets when 2 or more inches of snow has accumulated on the roads. Vehicles should be parked in driveways or on your lawns and/or within your property limits. Vehicles should remain and kept off the streets until the snow stops and the DPW has adequately plowed and cleared the roads of all the snow. The DPW will be plowing and salting all township roads throughout the day.

The police department is enforcing the snow emergency no parking prohibition and issuing summonses to all vehicles parked in the street.

Additionally, the Township of Saddle Brook municipal offices are closed for the day and all Saddle Brook Public Schools have cancelled school for THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9th, 2017.
