January 31st

Warrant Arrest - S. 53rd St. / Potrero Ave:
At 1030 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 40-year-old woman on a Placer County fraud warrant. She was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Bissell Ave:
At 1954 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 27-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was issued a citation in the field.

Residential burglary – 300 block of Ramona Ave:
Between 1020 and 1620 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence via an unlocked rear door and stole four laptop computers.

Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of paraphernalia – 11965 San Pablo Ave:
At 0144 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 29-year-old Richmond man for possession of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

February 1st

Commercial Burglary – 11740 San Pablo Ave:
At 0805 hours, an officer responded to the report of vandalism. In between 1700 hours on 01/31/2017 and 0800 hours on 02/01/2017, an unidentified suspect threw a rock through the front window of a business. The suspect then entered the office and stole a laptop and an iPad.

Warrant Arrest - 10900 San Pablo Ave:
At 1259 hours, an officer contacted a 53 year old transient woman in the lobby of the Police Department. She was wanted on a misdemeanor Orange County warrant. She was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery - Key Blvd. / Elm St:
At 1333 hours, an officer recovered an unoccupied stolen 1996 Honda Accord.

Vandalism – 6800 block of Central Ave:
At 1532 hours, an officer responded to the report of a rock being thrown through the window of a residence. The resident estimated the cost would be $3000 to replace the window.

Identity Theft - Waldo Ave. / San Pablo Ave:
At 1633 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 34 year old Suisun woman. She was found to be on possession of an Identity Theft starter kit, including fake ID’s and checks. She was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Domestic battery – 1300 block of Norvell St:
At 2215 hours, officers were dispatched to a 911 disconnect from the residence. Upon arrival, they could hear a verbal argument inside the residence. Officers contacted both parties and subsequently arrested the husband, a 41-year-old El Cerrito man for domestic battery. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

February 2nd

Warrant Arrest - Walgreens 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 0941 hours, an officer responded to the report of an unwanted subject. A 30 year old San Francisco woman was contacted and found to have an outstanding fraud warrant from San Francisco. She was booked and released on a citation.

Possession of a Control Substance - 6000 block of Central Ave:
At 1207 hours, an officer contacted a 49-year-old Richmond man during a bicycle stop. The man was confrontational and upset when he was stopped. He was also found to be in possession of 1/8 of an ounce of suspected methamphetamines and was under the influence of a controlled substance, both of which were violations of his probation status. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Vehicle theft, Possession of a stolen vehicle, Forgery, Possession of paraphernalia – 9901 San Pablo Ave:
At 1811 hours, officers were dispatched to the area for a subject breaking into a vehicle. Officers arrived and the 54-year-old Oakland man stated that he was attempting to repair his vehicle. A records check of the vehicle revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen to Berkeley PD on 1/27. Officers searched the vehicle and located a check that had been written to and signed by the man. Officers also located a glass smoking pipe. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Vehicle theft, Possession of a stolen vehicle, Probation violation – San Joaquin St. / San Jose Ave:
At 0204 hours, an officer was traveling southbound on San Joaquin St. when he saw three subjects tampering with a vehicle on San Jose Ave. The officer stopped and contacted a 25-year-old Richmond man, and his girlfriend, a 35-year-old Richmond woman. The third subject, a 51-year-old Richmond woman walked away, but was quickly apprehended by responding officers. The officer performed a records check of the vehicle and found that it had been reported stolen to the El Cerrito Police Department on 2/1. The officer arrested the man and woman. All three were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. The women were released pending follow-up.
