We recommend that all residents in the medium and high avalanche areas use extreme caution while in those areas. There have been reports of significant natural avalanche activity around the region, including Alpine Meadows Road and River Road. If you have somewhere else to go, we recommend going there until the situation stabilizes. Certainly avoid outdoor activity within the potential avalanche hazard areas in Squaw Valley, including the areas of Sandy Way, Squaw Peak Road, Lanny, Christy, Navajo and Apache that are potential avalanche areas.
