The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Fraud and Cyber Crimes Bureau invites you to “Love Hurts,” a community education and prevention forum.  With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, the focus of “Love Hurts” will center on internet crimes that are affiliated with matters of the heart – online dating schemes, romance scams, etc.  The forum will also address certain online dating apps and highlight common vulnerabilities associated with online dating, as well as the nexus between online dating schemes and sex trafficking.  We will also highlight resources available to the community to use in these type of situations.
