Join us for “Love Hurts”, a community education & prevention forum focused on online dating schemes & romance scams. Tonight!
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Fraud and Cyber Crimes Bureau invites you to “Love Hurts”, a community education & prevention forum. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, the focus of “Love Hurts” will center on internet crimes that are affiliated with matters of the heart – online dating schemes, romance scams, etc. We will address certain online dating apps and highlight common vulnerabilities associated with online dating, as well as the nexus between online dating schemes and sex trafficking. We will also highlight resources available to the community to use in these type of situations.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s goal is to increase our community’s awareness regarding cyber crimes and to educate them in ways to protect themselves from being victimized.
This event is open to anyone interested. Regardless of where you live, you are invited! Please join us!
