Why Teens & Parents Should Attend Our Safe Driving Program
Very often police officers encounter young teen drivers who are unfamiliar with laws which specifically affect their age group. In addition, many parents are unfamiliar with these laws as well. Driver inexperience, unfamiliarity with traffic rules, and distracted driving are all issues which affect the teen driver, and as a result, everyone who travels the roadways.
The Millstadt Police Department would like to educate as many new drivers, and their parents, as possible. We will be holding our annual Young Drivers Safety Program on Saturday, March 4th, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at the Millstadt Consolidated School, 211 West Mill Street. This program is designed for those ages 17 & under who have a driver's license, driver's permit, or are attending driver's education classes. There is no cost. This program will include lunch and attendance prizes.
