On Wednesday February 1, 2017, at 7:00 pm, the Newton Police Department will be holding an open house regarding this year’s Police Officer Examination, which will be held on March 25, 2017 (Application Filing Deadline: February 21, 2017). The event, which will be held in our Community Room, located inside 1321 Washington St. Newton, will cover the civil service process, test preparation and general information. The Newton Police Department is a Civil Service Law Enforcement Agency, which encourages women, and minority candidates to take the Massachusetts Civil Service Exam for police officer. The exam, which is open and competitive, is given every two years.
