Police Blotter January 20th through January 22nd

January 20th

Domestic Violence –Mira Vista Hotel, 6009 Potrero Ave:
At 0623 hours, Officers responded to a disturbance and arrested a 44 year old man from San Pablo after her went to the hotel and confronted his wife about an affair she is having. The man physically assaulted her during the altercation and took her phone. He was booked at the ECPD and transported to MDF.

Auto Burglary – Nations, 6060 Central Ave:
Between 0830 and 0910 hours, an unknown suspect broke a rear window and stole a briefcase.

Possess Stolen Property – Bed, Bath, and Beyond, 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1244 hours, Officers responded to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and accepted the citizen arrest of a 36 year old Vallejo man after he tried to return a comforter that was stolen from the Vallejo store earlier.

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Avenue / Potrero Avenue:
At 1951 hours, an officer located 47 year old transient male who had 2 outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was transported to county jail.

Misdemeanor Battery- Safeway 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2043 hours, an officer was flagged down by the Safeway manager who pointed out a 65 year old transient male who he stated struck him in the face. A citizen’s arrest was signed and the male was transported to county jail.

Felony Battery- Nations, 6060 Central Avenue:
At 0403 hours, ECPD officers were dispatched to Nations for a fight call. Dispatch advised that the victim was unconscious. Officers arrived on scene and located the officer on the floor bleeding from his mouth. He was responsive, but could not speak and it appeared his jaw was broken. The suspect reportedly punched and kicked the victim. The suspects fled out the east entrance/exit prior to ECPD arrival.

S1: BMA, 20-25, 509, slim build, curly brown hair, wearing grey sweater, black zip up jacket, dark pants. He has an unknown tattoo on the right side of his face.

S2: HMA, 20-25, 509, medium build, wearing a black Raiders sweater, dark pants.

January 21st

Criminal Threats –10900 block San Pablo Ave:
At 0946 hours, an Officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of 37 year old El Cerrito man after he threatened to slit his roommates throat during an argument in their apartment. The man was booked and cited.

Possess Controlled Substance – Potrero Ave / Eastshore Blvd:
At 1136 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 32 year old male driver from Daly City for being in possession of methamphetamine. He was booked and cited.

Stolen Vehicle – San Pablo Ave / El Dorado St:
The victim reports his white 1996 Volvo 850 was stolen by an acquaintance. The victim gave the suspect the key to the vehicle so he could perform a tune-up. The victim has not heard from the suspect since 1/10/17 and did not give him permission to have the car for that long.

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Avenue / Manila Avenue:
At 2054 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 36 year old transient male for an outstanding Alameda County warrant. He was transported to county jail.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery- S.55th Street / Creely Avenue:
At 0038 hours, an officer located a white 2004 Ford Taurus which had been reported stolen out of Sacramento PD. A felony stop was conducted and an 18 year old Sacramento male was arrested without incident. He was transported to county jail.

January 22nd

Auto Burglary – Denny’s, 11344 San Pablo Ave:
Between 1000 and 1020 hours, an unknown suspect broke several windows on the passenger side of the victim’s suburban and stole a black backpack containing a Cannon digital SLR camera worth approximately $1000.

Auto Burglary – Denny’s, 11344 San Pablo Ave:
At 1521 hours, an unknown suspect broke a rear passenger window and stole a black backpack. The suspect was described as a black male, 35 years old, and wearing a black hooded jacket and black gloves. Witnesses said he broke the windows with his hand.

Auto Burglary – 11100 block San Pablo Ave:
Between 1400 and 1536, an unknown suspect broke several windows on the passenger side of the victim’s 4-runner and stole a purse containing a camera and $900 cash.

Residential Burglary-1400 block of Lawrence Street:
At 1947 hours, an officer responded to a residential burglary. An unknown suspect gained entry through the rear door by shattering the window. The suspect stole $1750.00 worth of gold and silver coins, cash, and a laptop. TOO: 1/22/17 1330-1930 hours.

Petty Theft, Probation Violation, Obstructing Officer, Safeway-11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2059 hours, an officer responded to a disturbance at Safeway. A Safeway employee witnessed a 40 year old Richmond female placing packets of meat in her bag. The officer located the female, but she ignored the officer’s orders. She was detained in handcuffs and the meat was located. She has an active stay away order from Safeway. She was transported to county jail.

Auto Burglary- IFO Avenue, 170 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2127 hours, an officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered (V)’s rear passenger window. There was no loss. A witness told (V) that the suspect vehicle parked next to (V)’s vehicle and saw the suspect shatter the window. Suspect vehicle was an early 2000s 4D green Acura TL. TOO: 1930-2005 hours

Criminal Threats, Public Intoxication- 2000 block of Key Blvd:
At 2259 hours, ECPD officers were dispatched to a report of a man with a gun at this apartment complex. Dispatch advised that the dispute was over a parking spot in the apartment complex. When officers arrived, they located the 56 year old El Cerrito male in question who was handcuffed and detained. The male showed objective symptoms of being intoxicated. No firearm was located.

After speaking with the victim, who lives in the same complex, officers learned that there was no actual gun seen, but that the suspect had threatened to kill the victim several times during the argument. He was transported to county jail.
