January 17th

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave./ Manila Ave:
At 1227 hours, an officer contacted a 40-year-old Richmond man during a traffic stop. He was wanted on a $15K theft warrant. He was issued a citation with a new court date.

Residential Burglary - 2500 block Tassajara Ave:
At 1540 hours, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. In between 0800 and 1540 hours, an unidentified suspect kicked in the front door and ransacked of the interior of the house.

Warrant Arrest - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1555 hours, an officer contacted a 30-year-old Vallejo man in the Safeway parking lot. He was wanted on a Solano County DUI warrant. When Dispatch called to confirm, the man was found to have a second outstanding warrant. He was booked and cited.

Residential Burglary - 300 block Behrens Dr:
At 1655 hours, an officer responded to the report of a crawl space and the rear area of a home being forcibly entered sometime over the weekend.

Driving under the influence – San Pablo Ave. / Cutting Blvd:
At 1930 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 49-year-old Rodeo woman for driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober friend.

Auto burglary – 6800 block of Eureka Ave:
Between 1700 and 2000 hours, an unknown suspect smashed the victim’s rear right window and stole a bag containing personal identifying information. The victim’s property was later located a few blocks away.

Shoplift, Warrant arrest – 1000 EC Plaza:
At 2319 hours, an officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 53-year-old San Francisco man after he stole merchandise. Officers also discovered that the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

January 18th

Possession of Methamphetamine and Burglary tools - San Pablo Ave. / Schmidt Lane:
At 0819 hours, an officer contacted a 31-year-old Richmond man during a pedestrian stop. He was found to be in possession of approx. ½ gram of methamphetamines and a carved to look like a vehicle ignition key. He was arrested, booked and cite released.

Petty theft of license plates – 5800 block Cutting Blvd:
Between 1015 and 1955 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s front and rear license plate.

Recovered stolen vehicle - 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 0512 hours, an officer located an unoccupied white 1995 Nissan Maxima 4-door that had been reported stolen to San Pablo PD on 1/17/17.

January 19th

Warrant Arrest - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 0548 hours, an officer responded to the report of a suspicious person at Safeway. A 20-year-old transient woman was reportedly climbing on the shelves. She was wanted on a felony Alameda County probation warrant. She was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Attempted residential burglary – 2200 block of Mira Vista Dr:
Between 12/19/16 and 12/20/16, an unknown suspect tried to pry open two doors and window in an attempt to enter the victim’s residence.

Located missing person – San Pablo Ave. / Cutting Blvd:
At 2111 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and learned that a 29-year-old Richmond woman had been reported missing 12 years ago. The woman stated that she was not missing and has been trying to get the police department to remove the entry with no avail. The woman was removed from the system.
