January 9th

Assault with a Deadly Weapon - San Pablo Ave: / Wall Ave:
At 0926 hours, Officers responded the report of a reckless driver/road rage at San Pablo Ave./Hill Street. A 23 year old Oakland man was upset over an incident that started near the Golden Gate Bridge and evolved into a collision with the other party in Berkeley and mutual beverage throwing at each other. All parties were detained and Berkeley PD arrived shortly thereafter. The Oakland man was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Stolen Vehicle - 1600 block of Richmond St:
At 0956 hours, an officer responded to the report of a white Ford F150 that was stolen sometime overnight.

Auto Burglary – 1200 block of Brewster Dr:
At 1008 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 1900 hours, on 01/08/2017 and 0930 hours on 01/09/2017, (S) smashed a vehicle’s window and stole a folding bicycle.
Burglary - 2000 block of Harper Dr:
At 1014 hours, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. The homeowner’s son reported finding the sliding glass door open and a locked drawer missing from the kitchen containing cash and a wallet. The burglary occurred overnight.

Commercial Burglary – Freeway Motel - 11645 San Pablo Ave:
At 1208 hours, officers responded to the report of two subjects stealing bicycles and tools from the laundry room at the Freeway Motel. They located a 55-year-old Richmond man and 19-year-old Richmond woman behind Staples in possession of the stolen property. They were placed under citizen’s arrest, booked and transported to the MDF.

Grand Theft – T-Mobile: 11511 San Pablo Ave:
At 1647 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft. The suspect was described as a black male, 18 years old, black sweatshirt and matching black pants, standing 5”06”, with a skinny build, clean shaven and dark brown eyes. The suspect ripped two non-operative iPhones from the display and fled eastbound through the parking lot.

Stolen Vehicle – 2200 block of Key Blvd:
Between 1/617 and 1/9/17, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1996 Acura TL.

January 10th

Auto Burglary - 9985 San Pablo Ave:
At 0904 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary at Pete’s coffee in between 0843 and 0846 hours. An unidentified subject smashed a window of a vehicle and stole property.

Warrant Arrest - 6400 Cutting Blvd:
At 1255 hours, an officer contacted a 28 year old Richmond man who was wanted on a felony warrant. The subject was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Burglary – 600 block of Lexington Ave:
At 1440 hours, an officer responded to the report of a detached shed that had the window pried open and tools removed. It occurred between 1500 hours and 2200 hours on 01/09/17.

Stolen Vehicle -1600 block of Navellier St:
At 1712 hours, an office responded to the report of an auto theft. An unidentified suspect stole a tan 1996 Honda Accord in between 0200 and 1700 hours.

Vandalism – 700 block of Richmond St:
At 1930 hours, an unknown suspect propelled an unknown projectile through the victim’s front window.

January 11th

Auto Theft – 6400 block of Hagen Blvd:
At 0833 hours, an officer responded to the report of a stolen 1998 Acura Integra. He located the vehicle a block away with ignition damage. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Possession of a Counterfeit Driver’s License - San Pablo Ave./ Eastshore Blvd:
At 1313 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 34 year old Napa man who had a fraudulent driver’s license and social security card in the name of another subject. He was booked and cite released.

Attempted Auto Theft - 5200 block of Victor Ave:
At 1343 hours, an officer responded to the report of an unknown subject attempting to steal a 2003 Toyota truck. The attempted theft occurred over the previous two days.

Grand Theft - 800 block of S.53rd St:
At 1426 hours, an officer responded to the report of a victim who received a call from a “lawyer” who reported that a family member was in custody in Southern California and needed $4000 in Target gift cards to pay his attorney fees. The victim’s wife got suspicious when the “lawyer” called back and asked for an additional $4000 to pay court fines.

Auto burglary - 2000 block of Tapscott Ave:
At 1426 hours, an officer responded to the report of two auto burglaries that occurred between 1400-1420 hours. An unidentified suspect smashed the window of two vehicles and stole property.

Auto burglary – 8000 EC Plaza:
Between 1830 and 2214 hours, an unknown suspect smashed the victim’s vehicle window and stole property.

Warrant arrest – Central Ave. / Pierce St:
At 2227 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 41-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was issued a citation in the field.

Public intoxication – 10200 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 2254 hours, an officer arrested a 58-year-old transient man for public intoxication. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant arrest, Possession of controlled substance – Central Ave. / Pierce St:
At 2322 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 46-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. While the man was being booked at the El Cerrito Police Department he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto burglary – Belmont Ave. / San Diego St:
Between 1800 and 0430 hours, an unknown suspect smashed the victim’s vehicle window and stole a child’s wooden pushbike.

January 12th

Auto Burglary – 1500 block of S. 56th St:
At 0612 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. An unidentified suspect broke a vehicle’s window and stole security uniforms sometime overnight.

Auto Burglary - 500 block of Richmond St:
At 1055 hours, an officer responded to the report of a garage burglary. In between 1700 hours on 01-11-17 and 1030 hours on 01-12-17, an unidentified suspect entered an unsecured garage and stole a blue bicycle.

Warrant Arrest - 2000 EC Plaza:
At 1431 hours, an officer was dispatched to the report of an unwanted subject at Ross. The officer contacted a 25 year old Richmond resident who was wanted on an outstanding theft warrant. He was issued a notice to appear.

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Eastshore Blvd:
At 2320 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian enforcement stop and arrested a 41-year-old Oakland man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police and released.

Burglary, Possession of stolen property, Warrant arrest – 11700 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 2347 hours, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a residential burglary. The victim’s cell phone was stolen. The victim utilized a phone finder application and saw that it was active nearby. Officers circulated the area and located witnesses that stated a subject tried to sell them a phone. The victim’s cell phone was located and returned. Officers arrested a 20-year-old transient man and booked him at the El Cerrito Police Department. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
