Three Men Arrested in Joint Narcotics Investigation

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, Readington Township Police Chief Sebastian Donaruma, and Clinton Township Police Department Officer in Charge Lieutenant Doug Higgins announced that a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Task Force, the Readington Township Police Department and the Clinton Township Police Department has led to the arrest of three individuals for narcotics offenses.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “The joint investigation resulted in the arrest of Nicholas Rojas, age 19, of Wayne, NJ. Mr. Rojas was charged with Distribute of CDS (Cocaine), a second degree crime, and Distribute of CDS (Heroin), a third degree crime. Mr. Rojas was lodged in the Somerset County Jail. Two ounces of cocaine and 500 decks of heroin, with a street value of $5,000, were seized during the investigation.”

Prosecutor Kearns added, “Also arrested as a result of this investigation was Jason Ovalles, age 19, and Gerry Thomas, age 28, both of Paterson, NJ. Mr. Ovalles and Mr. Thomas were both charged with Conspiracy to Distribute CDS (Cocaine). Mr. Thomas was lodged in the Somerset County Jail and Mr. Ovalles was released on his own recognizance.”
