Squaw Valley to experience Powerful Winter Storm beginning tonight. Please click for important info:

Squaw Valley and the greater Lake Tahoe/Truckee area is foretasted to see a major winter storm beginning this evening and lasting into Sunday.

National Weather Service - Reno is reporting: "The Sierra is going to get another round of heavy snow and high winds which will create significant impacts to the region. The Tahoe Basin can expect 2 to 4 feet with 3 to 6 feet above 7,000 feet and Sierra ridge wind gusts up to 140 mph tonight into Sunday. Do not attempt to travel as conditions will become life threatening late tonight through Sunday."

Avalanche danger is expected to increase overnight due to significant accumulations of snow fall and wind blown snow.

As previously advised, keep vent pipes clear of snow/ice to allow for proper venting of gasses.
