Moorestown man, age 33 arrested early Friday morning for a series of car burglaries in the Collins Park area.

While on routine patrol early Friday morning, Moorestown PD patrols came across a vehicle with an open door that had been burglarized. Searching the area, officers located Michael R. Vonderlieth, age 33 from the 100 block of Haines Dr. on foot who was found to be in possession of a stolen GPS unit. As a result of further investigation by patrols and detectives, Vonderlieth was charged with the burglary of seven vehicles in the Collins Park (Ramblewood Rd./Springhouse Ln.) area. Vonderlieth was transported and lodged at the Burlington County Jail. Detectives are still attempting to reunite victims with property that was recovered. (GPS devices, lap tops, PDA’s, cell phones, MP3’s, wallets, purses)
• Do not leave windows or sunroof open.
• Do not leave doors unlocked.
• Do not leave keys//and starter FOBs in the vehicle.
• Do not leave the garage door opener in plain view.
• Do not leave items with personal identifiers in plain view.
• Do move valuable items to the trunk while in public view.
