January 6th
Drug Possession/Drug Paraphernalia Possession - 5200 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 1926 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 44 year old Vallejo male for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
January 7th
Stolen Vehicle – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
Between 0930 and 1000 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s green 92 Honda Accord.
Shoplift, Battery – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1151 hours, Officers responded to a fight call. The investigation determined a 38 year old Richmond man stole merchandise. He was confronted outside by loss prevention and escorted back inside the store. About halfway to the rear of the store, the man decided he no longer wanted to cooperate and tried to flee and he had to be physically restrained. He was placed under citizen arrest, booked at the ECPD, and then released on a citation.
Obstructing an Officer and Providing a False Name – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
While on the above call, officers were notified of a second theft that just occurred and provided the suspect’s description to circulating units. An officer located the subject at Del Norte BART and attempted to detain the 46 year old female from Fairfield but she refused to stop and then tried to pull away from the officer. She was detained and provided a false name. The theft could not be confirmed. She was booked at the ECPD and then released on a citation.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 7500 block Curry Ave:
At 1623 hours, an officer recovered a blue 1989 Toyota Camry which was reported stolen to CHP Contra Costa on 1/4/17.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 3000 block of Yosemite Ave:
At 2301 hours, an officer located an unreported stolen 1995 Honda Accord which was left running with its lights on and unoccupied.
January 8th
Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave/Cutting Blvd:
At 1925 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 20 year old female for a misdemeanor warrant out of Solano County. She was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Warrant Arrest, Burglary Tools, Poss. Of Drug Paraphernalia– S.52nd St / Potrero Ave:
At 1939 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 25 year old Richmond male for a felony warrant out of Berkeley PD. He was also in possession of a meth pipe and shaved keys. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Attempted Carjacking – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 2225 hours, ECPD officers were dispatched to Safeway for an attempted carjacking. The victim reported that after he parked his white Maserati in a parking stall, the suspect approached his driver door and began asking about his car. The suspect then punched the victim in the head, while he was still seated in the driver seat. The suspect ordered the victim out, but the victim refused and shut his door.
(S) BMA, 6’0-6’2, thin build, wearing white hooded sweater with a large tiger face printed all over the front of the sweater, tan pants, and white or gray sneakers. (S) was also carrying a neon yellow backpack and last seen heading west from Safeway, on foot, towards San Pablo Avenue.
