NCSO seeks help identifying suspect after attempted robbery in Red Oak; possibly same suspect in RM robbery

Victim: Southern Bank Location: 8315 Red Oak Rd, Battleboro, NC 27809
Summary:
On 01/03/2017, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Southern Bank located at 8315 Red Oak Road, Battleboro, NC. A male suspect told a teller that she was going to give him $30,000.00. The suspect acted suspiciously while in the bank and left after the tellers did not give him any money.
A brief time later, a suspect fitting the same description and making a similar demand passed a note at the State Employees Credit Union located at 805 N Fairview Rd, Rocky Mount, NC. The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of money.
