(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested in connection to a recent burglary, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Nicholas Scott Swann, 29, of Attalla, is charged with one count of second degree burglary, a felony,” investigator Adam Chapman said.

Swann allegedly broke into a residence on December 27th, located on Valley Drive, and was attempting to steal a laptop computer when the homeowner heard Swann inside the home. The resident told Swann to leave, walked him out the front door and then called 9-1-1.

Sgt. Paul Williams, Jr., found the suspect that fit the clothing description given by the homeowner, walking down Highway 11.

Swann stated to investigators that he was on drugs the night of the burglary.

He is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,000 bond for the burglary warrant. Swann is also currently on probation for breaking/entering vehicles.
