Police Blotter December 16th through December 19th

December 16th

Warrant Arrest - 2000 block of Key Blvd:
At 1431 hours, an officer noticed a vehicle parked the wrong way on Key. The occupants of the vehicle, a 31 year old Richmond man was wanted on a felony assault warrant and a DUI warrant. He was arrested, booked and transported the MDF. The other occupant, a 31 year old Richmond man also had a misdemeanor warrant. He was booked and released on a citation.

Grand Theft - 11755 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1505 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft of tires and rims from a customer’s Honda. The theft occurred overnight.

Hit and Run Collision – San Pablo Ave / Potrero Ave:
At 1808 hours, Officers responded to an auto vs. pedestrian hit and run collision. Upon arrival it was determined the intoxicated pedestrian was crossing San Pablo Ave outside a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle travelling southbound San Pablo Ave. The driver of the vehicle stopped briefly and then drove off southbound San Pablo Ave. The suspect was described as a white male driving a tan Buick La Sabre.

Warrant – Carlson Blvd / Tehama Ave:
At 2222 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 39 year old Richmond man on a no cite Oakland PD warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and transported to MDF.

Warrant (X3), Possess Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia – 11965 San Pablo Ave:
At 0136 hours, an officer contacted a 33 year old Richmond man during a pedestrian stop and learned he was wanted on three outstanding Contra Costa County warrants, all stemming from ECPD cases. He was also in possession of methamphetamines and a glass pipe. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then released on a citation.

December 17th

Delay or Obstruct an Officer, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Parole Violation – 11900 block San Pablo Ave:
At 1855 hours, an officer attempted to stop a 47 year old male whom he recognized from previous contacts and knows to be on parole. The man fled on foot but was detained a short time later in front of Grocery Outlet. He was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Parole was contacted and a hold obtained. He was booked at the ECPD, cited on the new charges, and transported to MDF on the parole hold.

Warrant – San Pablo Ave / MacDonald Ave:
At 2329 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 37 year old Richmond man on a no bail Contra Costa County Warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to MDF.

Warrant – S. 56th St / Cypress Ave:
At 0119 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 28 year old female from Richmond on a no cite Contra Costa County Warrant. She was booked at the ECPD and then transported to MDF.

December 18th

Probation Violation / Disobey a court order: Safeway - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 0706 hours, Officers responded to the report of an unrelated unwanted subject at Safeway. While there, officers noticed a 28 year old Richmond man who is not allowed on the Safeway property due to a restraining order and by order of his probation. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Warrant Arrest - Potrero Ave. / I-80:
At 0800 hours, an officer located a 29 year old Richmond man who was wanted on a felony stalking warrant. He was wanted on a No Bail felony warrant for stalking. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Credit Card Skimmer - 10602 San Pablo Ave:
At 1121 hours, an officer responded to the report of the discovery of a blue tooth enabled credit card skimmer device installed on two gas pump credit card readers. The pump maintenance service technician discovered the devices while doing maintenance. The device was stored inside the pumps and undetectable from the outside.

Warrant Arrest - 11965 San Pablo Ave:
At 1540 hours, an officer contacted a 19 year old Richmond man who was wanted on a felony burglary warrant during a security check of the area around the vacant building. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Arson – 5040 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1859 hours, Officers responded to an arson call. Three black male juveniles lit the trash can on fire and then fled eastbound through the plaza parking lot. ECFD responded and assisted with the arson investigation.

Possess Controlled Substance, DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, Warrant – San Pablo Ave / Fairmount Ave:
At 0330 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 24 year old male driver from Oakland for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, he was also in possession of cocaine, and driving on a suspended license for DUI. A records check revealed he was wanted on a no bail Alameda County warrant for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD, cited on the new changes, and transported to MDF on the warrant.

Possess Controlled Substance, Vehicle Tampering, Warrant – 6400 block of Portola Dr:
At 0406 hours, an officer was flagged down about a man entering unlocked vehicles in the parking area. He located a 31 year old man from Oakland and confirmed the man entered an unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it but could not confirm a theft. The man was in possession of cocaine and wanted on a Contra Costa County warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.

December 19th

Auto Burglary - 3090 EC Plaza:
At 0650 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. An unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle and stole a backpack. A third hand witness reporting a male subject getting into a black Honda Civic and fleeing the scene.

Drug Paraphernalia - Cutting Blvd. / Peerless Ave:
At 0804 hours, an officer contacted a 29 year old Oakland man during a bicycle stop. The subject who was on parole for homicide and on probation for Identity Theft and was found in possession of a pipe used to smoke controlled substances. He was booked and released on a citation.

Grand Theft – 5200 block of Victor Ave:
At 0927 hours, officers responded to the report of a grand theft. The victim accepted a check in conjunction with an online job application with a company allegedly based in Singapore. He cashed the check, transferred the funds per his fraudulent employment agreement, only to learn that the check was a forgery and in the process losing $3,800.

Warrant (X2) – San Pablo Ave / Central Ave:
At 0137 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 62 year old male transient on two Contra Costa County warrants. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.

Possess Controlled Substance, and Drug Paraphernalia, Burglary Tools – Richmond St / Moeser Lane:
At 0203 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 29 year old year old female from Pleasanton for possession of methamphetamines and a 38 year old man from Pittsburg for possession of heroin, methamphetamines, glass pipes, and lock picks. Both were booked at the ECPD and released on citations.
