December 12th

Recovered Stolen Vehicle- Elm Ct. / Moeser Ln:
At 1220 hours, an officer was patrolling in the area and located the victim’s unoccupied Honda Civic that had been reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department on 9/18/16.

Stolen Vehicle/Felony Evading Cutting Blvd. / I-80:
At 1618 hours, an officer was patrolling in the area when he located the victim’s occupied Honda Civic. The officer followed the vehicle onto eastbound I-80 until additional officers could catch up. The vehicle took off and led the officer on a short pursuit. The suspect rammed the vehicle into a stopped Richmond PD unit at Shasta Ave. and Gerald Ave. The driver fled the vehicle and climbed onto the roof in the 5600 block of McBryde Ave. Contra Costa County Fire Department responded with a ladder. Officers from RPD, SPPD, and ECPD went onto the roof and took 30 year old male from Richmond into custody. During booking the male was charged with possession of stolen vehicle, felony evading, assault on a police officer. The male also had an outstanding warrant. After booking, the male was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Propelling object at vehicle – San Pablo Ave. / Stockton Ave:
At 1815 hours, an officer reports that an unknown suspect propelled an object at the victim’s vehicle, which dented the door. The size of the dent appeared to be caused by a pellet or BB.

Propelling object at vehicle – San Pablo Ave. / Madison Ave:
At 1830 hours, an officer reports that an unknown suspect propelled an object at the victim’s vehicle, which dented the door. The size of the dent appeared to be caused by a pellet or BB.

Vandalism – 2500 block of Arlington Blvd:
Sometime during the day, an unknown suspect cracked the victim’s window with a steel ball bearing, most likely fired from a slingshot.

Warrant arrest - 5020 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2115 hours, and officer arrested a 46-year-old Kensington man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto burglary – 10116 San Pablo Ave:
Between 1745 and 2130 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the victim’s rear passenger window and stole an emergency kit.

Driving under the influence – Carlson Blvd. / San Diego St:
At 0150 hours, an officer conducted a suspicious vehicle check and arrested a 29-year-old San Pablo woman for driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober relative.

December 13th

Recovered stolen vehicle – 1700 Arlington Blvd:
Officers located a Chevy Sonic that had been reported stolen earlier in the day. A check of the area revealed two 17-year-old Richmond boys hiding in a nearby vehicle. The boys were arrested and booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. One boy was transported to the Contra Costa Juvenile Hall, while the other was released to his parents.

Strong arm robbery – 1900 block of Junction Ave:
At 2139 hours, officers were dispatched to the area after a female was attacked by three suspects. The investigation revealed that the victim was walking to her vehicle from BART when she was approached by three suspects. Two suspects blocked her path, while a third pushed her to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspects tore her backpack from her grip and fled in a dark colored sedan. The suspects are described as follows:
(Suspect 1) – Hispanic male adult in his 20’s, dark hair, heavyset, wearing a grey sweatshirt.
(Suspect 2) – Unknown race male wearing a red sweatshirt.
(Suspect 3) – No description

Public intoxication – Ranch 99 Market:
At 0044 hours, officers were dispatched to the dead end of Belmont Ave. for a male and female in a verbal argument. Officers located a 20-year-old Richmond man, and his girlfriend, a 28-year-old El Cerrito woman. Both were extremely intoxicated and verbally assaultive to officers. Neither knew where they were going or coming from. They were both arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto burglary – Stockton Ave. / Kearney St:
At 0150 hours, and officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered the victim’s right front window and stole a pair of sunglasses.

Auto burglary – Stockton Ave. / Kearney St:
At 0150 hours, an officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered the victim’s right front window and ransacked the interior. No loss at this point.

Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of paraphernalia, Possession of burglary tools, Driving with a suspended driver license – San Pablo Ave. / Ohio Ave:
At 0131 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and found that the driver, a 48-year-old Richmond man was driving with a suspended driver license. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass smoking pipe and some shaved keys. The man was arrested and transported to the El Cerrito Police Department. During booking, the man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The man was booked and released.

December 14th

Auto Burglary- 11511 San Pablo Ave:
On 12/14/16, at 1721 hours, an officer reported an unknown suspect smashed the window of the victim’s vehicle and stole property.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Moeser Ln:
At 2229 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested 26 year old female from Richmond for an outstanding warrant. The female was booked and transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest – Central Ave. / Carlson Blvd:
At 2229 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 44 year old male from Richmond for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked and then taken to county jail.

December 15th

Auto Burglary – Noodle Fresh, 10042 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2044 hours, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered a window of the victim’s vehicle and removed property.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave / Macdonald Ave:
At 2307 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested one of the passengers, a 30 year old male from Richmond, for two outstanding warrants. The male was booked and then transported to county jail.
