FULL TIME – DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS POSITION –
TOWNSHIP OF WINSLOW – PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, seeks a full time Director of Public Works in the Winslow Township Public Works Department. A Director of Public Works shall hold a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in either Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field. Possess a driver’s license valid in the State of New Jersey. Six years of experience in the development, administration and implementations of public works or other similar construction/maintenance programs, including responsibility for budgeting and supervision, four (4) years of which shall have included management responsibilities.

The Director of Public Works shall also perform such duties as may from time to time be designated by the governing body by resolution, and shall include related functions including but not limited to all duties under direction, plans, organizes, and directs the programs and activities of a comprehensive public works department such as roads and parks. Consults with general contractors on construction projects, directs studies of public works functions. Manages work operations and/or functional programs, and has responsibility for employee evaluations and for effectively recommending the hiring, firing, promotion, demoting, and/or disciplining and employees.

Employment is contingent upon completion of a satisfactory background check.
The salary range depending on experience between $110,000 and $120,000 with a minimum of a 40 hour work week. There will be a 90 day working test period.
