...Patchy dense fog overnight...

Traffic cameras and weather observations are showing patchy dense
fog has developed across northern and central Maryland, far
northern Virginia and eastern West Virginia. Motorists should be
prepared for rapid reductions in visibility - use low beams and
allow extra spacing with other vehicles. With temperatures near
freezing, there also may still be patchy ice on roadways,
particularly untreated roads.

As a warm front continues lifting northward, fog is expected break
up later tonight and warmer temperatures should melt lingering
ice.
