The National Weather Service has issued a storm watch which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon and the gale watch has been cancelled.
Winds from the northwest 30 mph – 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph.
A storm watch is issued when the risk of storm force winds of 55 mph to 72 mph has significantly increased but the specific timing and/or location is still uncertain.
Strong winds beginning late Thursday and we will try to update as we get more information. Be aware of blowing/blinding snow, falling branches, trees and wires. DO NOT approach any downed wires, call 911, your local fire department or your electric company.
