Police Blotter December 2nd through December 5th

December 2nd

Stolen Vehicle - 7500 block of Potrero Ave:
At 0720 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft of a black Toyota Highlander. The SUV was stolen overnight in between 1500 hours and 0700 hours.

Robbery – Lucky’s 1000 EC Plaza:
At 1020 hours, officers responded to the report of black male, 30’s wearing a black cap, shirt and pants stealing property from Lucky’s. When confronted by the manager, he shoved him and another employee and took off running to the Plaza BART.

Parolee At Large and Methamphetamine Possession - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1056 hours, an officer contacted a 32 year Bakersfield man who was wanted on a Parolee At Large warrant for robbery. He was also found in possession of methamphetamines and a window punch. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Warrant Arrest – Cutting Blvd and S. 49th Street:
At 2152 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested an adult male on a Marin County Warrant. The male was released on a citation.

Driving Under the Influence (DUI) – San Pablo Ave and Central Ave:
At 0031 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested an adult female for suspicion of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was cited and released.

Warrant Arrest and possession of Methamphetamine – 11900 Block of San Pablo Ave:
At 0324 hours, an officer contacted an adult male who was found to be wanted on an El Cerrito Felony Warrant. The male was also in possession of suspected methamphetamines. The male was transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest – 10400 Block of San Pablo Ave:
At 0417 hours, an officer contacted an adult male who had a no bail Contra Costa County Warrant. He was transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

December 3rd

Auto Burglary - 8600 Terrace Dr:
At 0932 hours, officers responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 1830 hours and 0705 hours, an unknown suspect smashed a car window and stole a tool bag.

Auto Burglary – 11200 San Pablo Ave:
At 1927 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary that occurred in between 1900-1927 hours. An unknown suspect smashed a car window and stole electronics, cash, and other personal items.

Possession of Methamphetamine, Methamphetamine pipe, Destruction of Evidence – Junction Ave and Morris Ave:
At 0144 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the stop, the driver showed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance and the passenger was on probation for drug sales. The officer had the driver, a 60 year old male from Belmont, out of his vehicle and onto the sidewalk. A cover officer observed a passenger in the same vehicle, a 51 year old male from Dunnigan, ingest an unknown substance. The passenger had not seen the cover officer standing outside of the vehicle. The passenger was arrested for destruction of evidence and being under the influence of the controlled substance. He was checked by medical units and cleared. The driver was arrested for being in possession of 4 grams of methamphetamine and 3 glass meth pipes.

December 4th

Burglary tools – Methamphetamine pipe - 11800 San Pablo Ave:
At 1101 hours, an officer responded to the report of a subject sleeping behind the gate of an office. Prior to the officer’s arrival, a neighbor reported the subject jumped the fence and then tried to pry open the gate with a knife. When Officers arrived, they located a 27 year old Richmond man who had set up camp on the back deck. He was found in possession of numerous burglary tools, knives and a meth pipe. He is on probation for auto theft and is restricted from weapon possession. He was booked and released on a citation.

Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, Identity Theft, and Possession of Methamphetamine pipe – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 0043 hours, officers investigated a suspicious 1997 Nissan Altima and determined it was stolen out of San Pablo on 11/22/16. An adult female was in the driver’s seat and arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed the female was in possession of a driver’s license stolen during an auto burglary and a check book in the victim’s name. The victim previously filed an identity theft case with El Cerrito and had not opened the checking account. The male passenger male was on parole and in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. The male was arrested, booked, and released on a citation. The female was booked and transported to MDF.

December 5th

Disorderly Conduct, Drunk in Public- 11450 San Pablo Ave:
While at Safeway, officers were notified about an intoxicated subject loitering in the Starbucks. A 32 year old El Cerrito man was found to be heavily intoxicated and unable to walk. He was taken directly to the MDF.

Battery - 10200 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 1222 hours, an officer responded to the report of a BMA punching a person in the face. The attacked was random and unprovoked. Additional calls came in of the same suspect punching cars as he travelled up San Pablo Ave. An adult male was located in front of 10944 San Pablo Avenue. He was identified as the responsible, placed under citizen’s arrest and transported to MDF.

Parolee at Large - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1341 hours, an officer contacted, BMA who was wanted on a Parolee at large warrant. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Warrant Arrest – 500 block of Oak Street:
At 2152 hours, an officer arrested an adult male who was wanted on a no bail Contra Costa County warrant. He was transported to MDF.
