Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Parks Bureau Deputies Arrest Two Men for Strong Armed Robbery at Charter Oak Park
On December 6, 2016, Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Parks Bureau were dispatched to 20261 E. Covina Boulevard, Covina, "Charter Oak Park," regarding a strong armed robbery.
Los Angeles County Deputies from San Dimas Sheriff’s Station were also in the area and received the “robbery” call for service. Upon their arrival, they detained two people matching the description of the robbery suspects leaving the park.
A Parks Bureau detective investigated the robbery and found the suspects approached the victim in the park and demanded his cellphone. When the victim refused to surrender his phone, the suspects punched him. During the attack, one suspect jerked the victim’s earphones off his neck.  The stolen “Monster” earphones valued at $119.00, were recovered and returned to the victim.  The suspects were unable to seize the victim’s phone.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The suspects, Jeremiah Wadding a 18 year-old male black, resident of Glendora, California and Johnny Anthony Huguez-Bellows a 19 year-old male Hispanic, resident of Glendora, California were arrested and booked at San Dimas Sheriff’s Station for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon and being held on $50,000 bail.
