Hit-and-Run - San Marcos

Investigators from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station want your help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 4th in the parking lot of the Home Depot located in the 500 block of W. San Marcos Boulevard.

Witnesses say a 65-year-old woman and 60-year-old man were walking towards the store when they were struck from behind by a white Ford Explorer. The driver of the SUV sped off without checking on the victims.

The married couple was taken to the hospital. The woman suffered serious injuries, including head trauma. The man was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV is described as a white or Hispanic man in his mid to late 20s with light colored hair. He was clean shaven and was last seen wearing a light colored shirt.

The suspect's SUV is described as a 1995-2001 model white Ford Explorer (see photo of similar suspect vehicle attached to this bulletin). The vehicle was described as being dirty at the time of the hit-and-run. It may have damage to one or both of the front headlight assemblies.

The SUV was last seen leaving the parking lot in an unknown direction on W. San Marcos Boulevard.
