Party Rock Fire Community Meeting and Donation Drop Points

A community meeting over lunch will be held at noon on Wednesday at the Legends Restaurant at Rumbling Bald Resort. The meeting is for all interested area residents. A public information officer will provide an overview of current fire status, planned fire suppression operations, and anticipated fire behavior with the predicted late week wind event. There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation.

There has been an outpouring of community support in the form of drink, food and other donations for firefighters and residents impacted by the incident. The local fire departments of Henderson and Rutherford Counties are now serving as drop points for these donations. Once received at these drop points, fire department staff will connect donated supplies to those needing the supplies.
