Garage Breaking and Entering Arrest
Dearborn, Mi. — On November 11, 2016 at approximately 4:45pm, Dearborn Police officers responded to the area of Lanson and Charles Streets on a report of a garage being broken into. A witness observed two males enter the backyard of a residence then exit the yard with an air compressor. The witness was able to obtain a description of the suspect’s vehicle and provide that to police dispatchers. Officers located the suspect vehicle and were able to stop the vehicle without incident. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and a warrant request was presented to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor’s office charged Jason Walter WILSON, a 36 year old Detroit resident, with Breaking and Entering and being a Habitual Offender. The other two suspects were released pending further investigation. WILSON was arraigned in the 19th District Court and bond was set at $25,000/10% and a GPS tether will be required if he posts bond. A Probable Cause Conference was scheduled for November 23, 2016 at 1:00pm and a Preliminary Exam was scheduled for December 2, 2106 at 9:00am.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated “We are grateful that a citizen took the initiative to contact the police immediately which allowed us to quickly respond and investigate the matter. Due to the concerned citizen’s willingness to get involved we were able to arrest a person of interest in numerous crimes spanning the past several weeks.”
