UPDATE Regarding At Risk Missing Person Charles Rogers

UPDATE (11/11/16): On November 6, 2016, 79-year-old Charles Wilbert Rogers was reported missing. Long Beach Police searched the area and were unable to locate him. Local hospitals were alerted and area law enforcement, fire stations, and public transportation agencies were notified.

On November 11, 2016, Long Beach Police were notified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office that Mr. Rogers was found deceased. On November 10, 2016, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Transit Policing Division personnel found Mr. Rogers deceased in the area of Compton Creek near Del Amo Boulevard, in Compton. His death appears to be of natural causes.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing person with dementia. Missing person is identified as Charles Wilbert Rogers a 79 year-old resident of Long Beach. He was last seen by his family at his residence in 100 block of W. Dameron Street, late in the evening on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

Possible clothing he was wearing is blue sweater, grey polo shirt, blue pants, and tan shoes.

Family also advised he went missing about 8 months ago and he was located in the City of Carson by Los Angeles County Sheriffs. He wears a medical alert bracelet with his name and address.
