Home Invasion Robbery in Marinwood 
On 11/8/2016, at approximately 0025 hours, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the report of a home invasion Robbery on Mt. Muir Ct. in Marinwood. Three black males entered the home through an unlocked open sliding door. They were wearing masks and one subject brandished a firearm and another carried a baseball bat. They ordered the family from bedrooms and their movements were limited while the men ransacked the home. One subject struck the male homeowner with a bat. His injuries did not require medical care. The subjects left with cash, electronics, and jewelry. Subjects fled by unknown means.
Deputies canvassed the area, searching for the subjects and evidence. Detectives and CSI processed the home. The motive for the robbery is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to take this opportunity to remind our residents to be aware of things they can do to help promote their general safety.
- Lock doors and windows, house and cars.
- Don’t leave valuables in plain view in your cars.
- Call the Sheriff’s Office if you see vehicles and or persons that seem suspicious in your neighborhood. We don’t mind checking on your neighborhood at any hour.
- Don’t leave mail in your mailbox or on your porch; make arrangements to have a trusted neighbor collect your packages if you are going to be delayed.
- Be aware of your surroundings and do get to know your neighbors, they can be your best witnesses and you may even become good friends.
