TIME:  2:25 P.M.

VICTIM:  51-year-old male adult
                44-year-old female adult
SUSPECT:  Brandon Patrick, 25-year-old male adult

LOCATION:  18900 Block of Castle Place, Cerritos

UNIT:  Cerritos Station – Detective Bureau

NARRATIVE:  On Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 2:25 p.m., Cerritos Station deputies responded to the 18900 block of Castle Place, Cerritos, regarding a person with a gun call.

The preliminary investigation revealed a male victim, who is a 51 year old resident of Lakewood, was driving his vehicle west on South Street, east of Studebaker Road.  The male victim’s girlfriend (female victim), a 44 year old resident of Lakewood, was a passenger in the car.  The suspect, Brandon Patrick, a 25 year old resident of Torrance, was driving behind the victim’s vehicle.

Suspect Patrick believed the victim “cut him off.”  Suspect Patrick and the victim became involved in a “road rage” incident wherein obscene hand gestures were exchanged.  The victim followed Suspect Patrick to a residential neighborhood on Castle Place, where Suspect Patrick stopped his vehicle.  The victim stopped a short distance away.  Suspect Patrick approached the victim’s vehicle and pointed a handgun at both the male and female victims.  Suspect Patrick then walked to a nearby residence.

Suspect Patrick was arrested at the residence without further incident for assault with a deadly weapon.  He was booked at Cerritos station and is being held in lieu $50,000 bail.  No shots were fired during this incident and neither victim was injured.
