(Etowah County, AL) A Gadsden man has been arrested in connection to the murders of two individuals in Glencoe, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Jeremy James Jerry, 43, of Gadsden, has been charged with capital murder of two or more persons. He is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center without bond.

The double homicide occurred shortly after 12 noon on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 307 Aderholt Street, Gadsden, 35905 (inside the Glencoe city limits).
Jerry is accused of shooting his mother, 65 year-old Joyce Ann Brown Good and her boyfriend, 62 year-old Jimmie Ray Lively.

“Yesterday was a tragic day for our community,” Glencoe Police Chief Tim Diggs said. “I appreciate and commend the agencies who responded to help our officer. The investigation, led by the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, was handled professionally and with respect toward all involved. Our condolences go out to the families of the victims.”

The suspect has confessed to investigators his involvement in the double murder, which began as a domestic/verbal argument. Security cameras that were visible on the outside of the residence did capture critical evidence in yesterday’s violent crime.
