<p>Last night, a number of our residents suffered thefts from their unlocked vehicles. There are criminals who will walk through neighborhoods trying car doors. When they find one that is unlocked, they enter the car and ransack it...looking for valuables. This only takes seconds; then they are off looking for their next victim. While everyone is busy and often in a hurry, these crimes are easily prevented by simply locking your car, even when it is parked in your driveway. Additionally, don&#39;t leave valuables in plain view in your car...there is no need to provide any motivation for these criminals. The Moraga Police Department investigates all of these crimes and is constantly patrolling our town. However, we can&#39;t be everywhere. We need everyone&#39;s help in stopping and solving these crimes. You can help us by locking your car, securing your valuables and reporting suspicious persons in your neighborhood.
