The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Owen family will hold a memorial service to celebrate the life, memory, and service of Sergeant Steve Owen. We tragically lost Steve on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, while he was performing his duties in the city of Lancaster, California, protecting the residents of Los Angeles County.

Although the service for Steve Owen is closed to the general public based on capacity concerns, all law enforcement agencies; current or retired law enforcement officers; agency professional staff members or other classifications; dignitaries, past and present; and other public officials, community leaders, support groups, hospital or medical professionals, first responders, fire department personnel, etc., are welcome and encouraged to attend in person and join us in paying tribute to Steve. In addition, those in the community who were closest to Steve and the family, such as those Steve coached or grew up with, are definitely invited and encouraged to attend!

Please allow ample travel time, due to an expected large volume of traffic and attendees. Expect delays. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
