Hurricane Matthew Update - Saluda County

<p>With the current dynamic weather situation impacting the coastal area. Saluda County remains under a wind advisory from 8pm this evening to 2am Sunday. It is currently predicted that we should have sustained winds of 30 to 35 mph with gust up to 45mph.</p>

<p>Due to the recent amount of rainfall and high winds expected we do anticipate some downed trees and powerlines. I would suggest that if you must travel please use extreme caution.&nbsp; I ask that you refrain from travel this evening.&nbsp; We have emergency responders prepared to deal with downed trees and other issues.</p>

<p>Rainfall is expected to be in the range from 2-4 inches.</p>

<p>Please out of abundant of caution please avoid nightime travel as it will limit the number of potential accidents. If you see a downed tree or power line please contact the Saluda County Sheriff&#39;s Office @ 864-445-2112 to report the incident.</p>

<p>Please be safe and continued prayers for all that are impacted by this dangerous storm.</p>
