<p>This is an urgent advisory for Boxborough residents. Massachusetts is experiencing an historic drought. The Department of Environmental Protection has declared a drought warning for our area. It is important to remember that our wells all draw from a common aquifer. The Selectmen encourage everyone in Boxborough to take steps to minimize consumption of our shared water resources. Until further notice, we urgently request that residents and businesses cease outdoor watering with lawn sprinklers or in-ground irrigation systems.
