September 19th

Attempt Motor Vehicle Theft and Auto Burglary – 2600 Block of Arlington Blvd:
At approximately 1052 am a citizen reported that they confronted a suspect inside of her vehicle. Approximately 10 minutes later the suspect returned and removed a speaker box from the victim's vehicle. The suspect is described as being a male adult in his 30's driving a gold Ford Explorer with orange paper plates. During the investigation the officer found that the vehicles ignition had been damaged in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

Warrant Arrest-  Eastshore Blvd/Potrero Ave:
An Officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 38 year old Male subject from Richmond on an outstanding Alameda County warrant. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Domestic battery - San Pablo Ave/Stockton Ave:
At 1930 hours, officers were dispatched to the area after witnesses saw a female exit a van followed closely by her husband, a 40-year-old El Cerrito man. The man grabbed his wife and forced her back into the van. Officers contacted the man at his residence later in the evening and arrested him. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant arrest - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 2136 hours, an officer conducted a suspicious vehicle check and arrested the passenger, a 26-year-old Vallejo woman for an outstanding warrant. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

September 20th

Auto Burglary - 2600 Block of Tassajara Ave:
Between 0840 and 1100 hours, an unknown suspect smashed out the front passenger side window of the victim's vehicle and stole property.

Shoplifting, Resist arrest, Provide false information to police, Possession of paraphernalia - 10650 San Pablo Ave:
At 1849 hours, officers were dispatched to CVS for a theft that just occurred. Dispatch advised that three suspects were inside stealing items. When an officer arrived on scene, a 36-year-old Alameda woman fled on foot. An officer gave chase and quickly apprehended her. The woman provided a false name to officers and was in possession of a glass methamphetamine pipe. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Residential burglary - 800 block of Balra Dr:
Between 1840 and 1920 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim's open garage and stole the victim's wallet from his vehicle. The victim's credit cards were later used at local businesses.

September 21th

Petty Theft Shoplifting - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1600 hours, an Officer reported the citizen's arrest of a 36 year old Richmond woman after store security detained her for sealing $45.00 worth of Meat then attempting to exit the business. She was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

Warrant arrest - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1926 hours, an officer was dispatched to Safeway for a woman preparing to steal merchandise. The officer contacted a 50-year-old transient woman and found she had a warrant issued for her arrest. The woman was issued a citation and released from the scene.

Violation of court order - 1300 block of Liberty St:
At 2045 hours, the victim responded to his ex-girlfriend's residence to take custody of their 2-year-old son. The 22-year-old El Cerrito woman had left the residence prior to the man's arrival without exchanging care of their son.

Driving under the influence - Carlson Blvd. / San Luis Ave:
At 2327 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 55-year-old Vallejo man for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober relative.

Warrant arrest - Carlson Blvd/Van Fleet Ave:
At 0241 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 34-year-old Richmond for an outstanding warrant. The man was given a citation and released from the scene.

September 22nd

Warrant arrest - San Francisco County Jail:
At 0100 hours, an officer responded to the San Francisco County Jail to pick up a 33-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
