Crime Alert Update - Arrest of Suspects

Attention Rutgers Community:

The Rutgers University Police Department issued a crime alert on September 23, 2016, detailing an aggravated assault which was reported to have occurred on September 23, 2016 at approximately 4:50 PM in Lot 103 which is located at 61 Road 3, Piscataway, New Jersey. Two suspects, unaffiliated with Rutgers but connected to the altercation in the lot have been arrested and charged by the Rutgers University Police Department.

Josaih C. Agbo, a 22 year old male from Bloomfield was charged with Simple Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

Malcolm V. Webb, a 22 year old male from Newark was charged with Simple Assault.

The Rutgers University Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office continue to actively investigate this incident and ask that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the Rutgers Police Department Detective Bureau at (848) 932-8025.

• Immediately report suspicious activity to local law enforcement;
• Remaining alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you;
• Avoid isolated or dark areas;
• Walking in groups when traveling during late night hours.
