AlertOC emergency notification regional test 
<p>September marks National Preparadness Month, urging residents and businesses to prepare for the many hazards that threaten our daily lives. This Thursday, Septemer 2nd, more than two million Orange County residents will receive a call to test "AlertOC". The drill will replicate a large scale, multi-jurisdictional emergency requiring thousands of numbers to be called simultaneously across Orange County's entire region. This reional test of the sytem will include 26 participating cities, as well as the County's unicorporated areas.</p>
<p>Residents can do their part to prepare for emergencies by registering for "AlertOC". Residents can self-register cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses to be a part of the regional test.
